Crowns of Egyptian Goddesses

As we may or may not know the crown is very important. The crown chakra is associated with connection to spirit and wisdom and spirit. An unbalanced (or inaccurate, for the matter of this post) can be associated with or cause feelings of lack of purpose, disconnection from oneself and the world, confusion, distraction, lack of focus, feelings of isolation, depression and existential crises.

The crown can be thought of as some type of guidance from a higher power or source or whatever you prefer that has an innate ability to bring us where we are meant to be at the right moment, right time. The crown is protective and important. There's a particular phenomenon that I am interested in learning more about.

The Egyptian Goddess Isis can be easily identified, in her true, unaltered form, by examining the crown. It is very rare to find an authentic Isis. Isis' crown is the throne, because she as well as her family is royal. She is entitled to the throne. The problem I have found in modern pop culture is what has been deemed as Isis is often depicted as what is actually Hathor.

Hathor is intelligence and receptivity, a worthwhile teacher and, similar to Isis a goddess of motherhood. The problem however that I am addressing in this post is the fact that modern pop culture depictions of Isis show her as and with the crown of Hathor. If we are not guided or brought to life by our authentic crown, how are we authentic? How are we guided toward our authentic self? If we have an incorrect crown, can we every truly embody the soul of these deities? Have the soul of these iconic feminine deities been lost in the modern-day translations?

More to come on this, someday.
