Preserving Endangered Species

The status of "endangered" raises a whole red flag for a whole nation. It tells that a species may not live on or may become extinct completely in the coming generation. What do we do, how do we recover something we took for granted?

The answer is, we can't. Once we wait too long, ignore the calls for help and something becomes completely unrecoverable we are left to sit in regret and wonder what it would have been like if we would have heeded the warnings sooner.

Fast approaching, January 10, we celebrate National Save the Eagles Day. Not only are Bald Eagles our national bird they are a prime piece of predator that we all love, admire, and certainly could never live without in our beautiful nation of America.

Not withstanding the Bald Eagle, the one we all certainly know and love the best of them all, Eagles in general are known as the "King of Birds". On a broad category, more than 60 species of eagles exist across Africa and Eurasia. Only two of those are found in the US and Canada. A total of 12 species are native to other continents.

Thinking of eagles, I think of two local eaglets who were born in Avon Lake, OH, on Easter 2021. It's almost like the rise of Jesus after sacrificing something so sacred. See the link below to know more about these two Eaglets, named "Stars and Stripes."

The moral of the story remains, never take for granted something that is dwindling until it's too late.
